Tailgate Talk: Are We Back in the Backcountry Yet? - Part 2
Mar 29, 2024 Season 2

Episode 2 has the two hunters huddled around a struggling fire as they attempt to warm themselves and dry out some gear.

The predicted winter storm hit earlier and much harder than predicted. Rain hit the night before, fog choked out the sun the entire day, and the temps ulitmately dropped to 13 degrees with a windchill factor of 3.

Over 9 miles were logged for the day, and guys found some incredible deer, bear and turkey sign with ample locations for pitching shelters near water sources and meat hangin' trees.

The post-recording activities involved donning every layer they had packed in as they crawled into their quilts, including their Badlands Gear EXO rain suits.

Despite the discomfort, smiles remained on faces, laughter was heard by Mother Nature and the memory of this experience will forever be celebrated.
